Why there are 28 days in February (amazing how much amazing is all around us but we see past).

Firewatch has been smoldering for some time and hopefully will create a unique atmosphere.  The concept art is beautiful. The idea of working as a fire lookout is lovely and unfortunately, at this point, an anachronism.

We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars.

Infrared Carina Nebula

This newly sewed image was taken in the IR spectrum “using the HAWK-I camera on ESO’s Very Large Telescope”. Check out this comparison to the visual spectrum image.

The Large JPEG is a starry 13092×8926 pixels (117 megapixels!).

The ESO site has a myriad of other space related imagery, and even RSS feeds.
